Outstanding Facilities

Facilities

As our campus evolves to meet the educational needs of a rapidly changing world, our facilities must also evolve to provide a dynamic teaching, learning, and research environment that tackles today’s challenges with an eye to the future. Since its founding in 1895 as a teacher’s college, to becoming the Duluth campus of the University of Minnesota in 1947 until today, UMD has served as a resource for the betterment of Northeast Minnesota. More than 11,000 students now come to campus every year for an education that prepares them to make a difference no matter where their journey takes them.

Campaign gifts to support the new HCAMS facility build on state and University investments to complete our vision of a state-of-the-art laboratory for students to be ready for tomorrow’s careers in STEM-related fields. In addition, gifts for modern teaching spaces enhance the academic experience and offer new opportunities for advanced learning.

Your gift to facilities:

  • Advances STEM-related learning in a dynamic environment for research, teaching and learning

  • Modernizes learning environments to foster a dynamic academic experience
